Hello friends and family! Eric and I welcomed our little girl, Grafton, into the world on January 9, 2009 and our baby boy, James, on December 2, 2010! We have just been blessed with our precious baby girl, Price, who was born August 28, 2012. We feel incredibly blessed and humbled, and we thank our gracious Lord above for all of our amazing family and friends. We hope this blog can give you a glimpse into our lives and a taste of how precious our children are. God is so so good, and we praise His Holy name.

6 month stats

We went to Dr Dennis this morning for Grafton's 6 month check-up (a couple weeks late) and had a great report! She weighs 16 lbs 10 oz now and is 24 1/4 inches tall.....so she only grew 1/4 inch in 2 months! haha! She is still in the 25th percentile for weight and height, and the doctor thinks that is right where she needs to be and where she will most likely stay.
She is loving the cereal we started her on and has been introduced to sweet potatoes too, which she is okay with but doesn't really like. Tonight we are trying out some green beans! I think this chick is going to be a good eater. We are also working on her crawling which she is trying sooo hard to accomplish! I'll put some pictures of that down below too! She gets up on her hands and knees and knows how to move her legs, she just can't quite get the arm movement going!

Here are some pictures of Grafton with the dogs today! She just loves them so much and they love giving her a licking bath whenever I let them! They are two of the best baby-sitters I have seen! :)

Attempting to crawl

Eric and I love watching Grafton try and try and try to crawl. She hasn't had much success yet, but she sure loves to get up on all 4s and rock back and forth! She can move her legs but hasn't gotten the arms going yet...I don't think it will be much longer though! Here are a few cute pictures of her attempts from today- even after getting her shots in her legs this morning, she is still determined to try!

Swimming

DeeDee bought Grafton a blow-up swimming pool for our backyard and Grafton just LOVES it! She sits in there and splashes and plays with the blow-up butterflies. To her it is like a big bath tub and she loves bath-time! Thanks DeeDee for making our little girl so happy!

Meeting Great-Granddad

Last week Grafton was able to meet her great-granddad from Hot Springs! My dad's dad came in town and met his first great-grandchild! We had a fun lunch and got some sweet pictures. We hope to go for a visit sometime this fall!

6 Months Old and cereal

I cannot believe Grafton turned 6 months old on Thursday! She is halfway to one already! It amazes me how quickly these 6 months have gone by, and somewhat scares me to think of how quickly the rest of the year will go. We had Grafton's 6 month pictures done on Wednesday at the Memory House in Oxford and are hoping they come back looking great! I'll post a link to them when we get word that they are on the internet!

So what is new for Grafton....well she is sitting up really well now! I mean she still falls over after a while or if she starts reaching for the dogs, but otherwise she can hold it for a long time! She also started cereal on Friday- although didn't like it much at all. I figure I will keep trying every few days for the next week or two then move on to some fruits and veggies. She doesn't have her 6 month check-up for another 2 weeks, so I will post her stats later. She is also getting soooo close to crawling! She gets up on all fours and kinda lunges back and forth then finally just pushes back some. She does this over and over again, then ends up deciding that rolling will get her to her destination faster so she rolls and rolls across the room! It is hilarious to watch! She has also gotten extremely tickle-ish lately! Our favorite past-time these days is tickling her tummy, her thighs, under her arms, her neck, her face- and she just giggles and giggles! And let me tell you- nothing in the world is more fun that hearing your baby giggle!

I am sure you have heard enough of my ramblings for one day, but as you can see we are just so in love with our baby girl. I can stare at her all day long and never get tired of it. Seeing how quickly each day goes by really makes us stop and enjoy each moment we have, knowing that some of these moments can change so quickly. We rock her to sleep at night, knowing it may form a habit but also knowing that one day she won't want that anymore- and for now it is such a special time of our day- our favorite time. And making these memories is what it is all about!

4th of July

Grafton had a great 1st 4th of July! We went to the parade on the square in the morning, cooked out at DeeDee and Pops' house all afternoon, then watched fireworks that night! Daddy hung the new swing DeeDee and Pops' bought her at their house, and she loved swinging on it. She also liked watching the fireworks light up the sky that night. I was a little afraid she may be cranky since it was past her bedtime but she just lit up when they started going off! It was a fun weekend and we want to thank my parents for cooking for us and hosting us at their house!

Sitting up

Grafton is doing so well at sitting up! She can really hold it for a long time now, and we are having so much fun watching her sit up and play with her toys! It is like a whole new world for her. Here is a pictures of her playing, and another of her in her exersaucer which she just LOVES.
