Bring on SUMMER!

Yay! Summer is here! What a fun few weeks it has already been! I just love having all my little kiddos home!! We have been swimming, we've done VBS, we've gone on scooter rides, and we have had sprinkler days in our yard. We've stayed up way too late, and we've eaten too much junk food already! It has been fun, and we have so much more left to do in the next couple months! Oh how thankful I am for these precious children that God is trusting me with!

Grafton did her first workout class a couple of weeks ago! She loved it!

 I was putting her to sleep one night and said "Pricey, can I just eat you up?!" She looked at me and said "Noooooooo....not tonight....but you can eat me up next time, Mommy!" Oh how I love her!

 Camp Pop and GG! Grafton and James headed to Clarksdale for a couple of nights with GG and Pop. They played with their cousins (Leyton and Hunter), had a slumber party, went swimming, grabbed pizza, then headed to Memphis the next day for Sky Zone and Bass Pro Shop! What a BLAST! Kuddos to the grandparents for managing this crew for a few days!

A weekend at the River

One of our favorite places to go is the Graeber's hunting camp at Burkes on the Mississippi River. The house is perfect, the kids have a blast on the playground and zip line, the beach and fishing are fun, and the adults love getting to visit! Over Memorial Day weekend, we went to Burkes with Eric's cousin Joel's family and his brother Jason's family. The eight little cousins had a blast playing together. It's such a relaxing place and nature's beauty is so evident in the rolling river, the green grass, the butterflies all around, and the sounds of the woods. What a blessing it is to have a place like this to come!

 

Bye Bye Kindergarden

Grafton had such a wonderful year in Kindergarden. She had a great teacher who taught her so much- from reading better, to learning math facts, to making history and science interesting. And her friends are just so fun and sweet. It is hard to see this year end knowing that next year she will be in big FIRST GRADE! She will move across the street to the big building, she will go to school all day, and she will start her grade school years. This mommy's heart is sad about all of that, but I'm thankful for the wonderful school she is in and the great influences that surround her.

She ended the year with a bang! We had a water party to close out the year, and the kids participated in the Regents Olympics on the last day! What a fun way to say good-bye to Kindergarden!

My basketball player

James had such a wonderful time participating in a basketball and leadership program this year called TOTS (Teams of Tomorrow). DeeDee treated him to this program, and he loved it so much. He would stay after school one day a week, he would learn different basketball skills and also learn some educational and life skills. He had a blast! At the end of the year, they had a performance for the parents and each received a trophy. James was so proud!
