Hello friends and family! Eric and I welcomed our little girl, Grafton, into the world on January 9, 2009 and our baby boy, James, on December 2, 2010! We have just been blessed with our precious baby girl, Price, who was born August 28, 2012. We feel incredibly blessed and humbled, and we thank our gracious Lord above for all of our amazing family and friends. We hope this blog can give you a glimpse into our lives and a taste of how precious our children are. God is so so good, and we praise His Holy name.

Playtime

Grafton still LOVES playtime. Now that she can crawl, play-time takes on a whole new dimension! The other day I walked in the nursery and she was playing fetch with herself! She loves plastic balls, and she would crawl over to one then throw it across the room and crawl to it again. Hilarious! She did it over and over and over. We also bought her about 150 plastic balls and filled her pack n play with them- she didn't know what to do with a ball pit to play in!

She still loves to talk, too- Mama, Dada, Baba, and Wawa are regulars in her vocabulary. Yesterday Grafton talked the entire way home from Memphis- I think she was talking to her toy frog. She giggled and talked for over an hour. She waves good-bye to people and loves touching their faces. She is also pulling up on her crib, her "walk along" toys, and anyone holding her- she just loves to stand up! Grafton has also learned to kiss- she just opens up her mouth and puts it on your cheek- toooo cute!! Her two top teeth are in now and the two on each side are breaking through. All this stuff just happens so quickly- it is fun but I sure wouldn't mind it slowing down- it is hard to watch her grow up so quickly. Here are some pictures from play-time this week!

On the move!

What a difference a day makes! Miss Grafton has figured it out- she is crawling all over the room! It is the most precious thing. She is so little (well height-wise!) so her short little legs crack me up crawling around! At first she could only take 5 or 6 "steps" but now she can go anywhere she wants to get her toys! I tried to capture it in a few pictures....and we recorded it last night so I will try to put the video on here in a couple days! Also- here are a couple of pictures of Grafton in her "big girl" chair that Pop and GiGi gave her for Christmas (while she was still in the belly!). She loves the chair and it will be perfect for the Grove!

More teeth and baby steps!

Little Grafton is finally getting her top teeth- 2 1/2 months after getting her bottom two! These top teeth have definitely been giving her some trouble too- it caused her to eat less than usual, wake up during the night sometimes, and not want to go to sleep! But, I am happy to say, the two middle teeth have broken through and our baby is back to normal- eating, sleeping, and playing playing playing! I am a little sad not to see all those sweet baby gums up top, but it is fun seeing her little teeth too.

Grafton also took her first little baby steps...or crawls...last week! She has been taking a "step" here and there for a while, but I won't count it as crawling until she at least moves both arms and both legs! Well, of course, here I am- the one who is with her ALLLL the time- and her daddy gets to see her crawl first!! He was playing with her in the nursery and she was doing all of her scooting, straightening her legs up and sticking her booty in the air, rolling around, etc then suddenly, bam, she crawled for the first time! She definitely isn't making tracks around the room yet, but this is a start!
Here are some pictures from the week- Grafton spent some time with Uncle Scott, she got to have a playdate with her boyfriend Thomas Carroll, and of course had cuddle time with Daddy...

7 months old

I cannot believe our little girl turned 7 months old today! She is just growing up so quickly! We celebrated with cake and ice cream of course- thanks to DeeDee and Pops! Today also marked the 1st day for Grafton in the church nursery. We have been putting it off because we are so afraid of her getting sick from another baby, but we finally decided today was the day! She did great! The workers said she was sooo good- she just watched the other babies in awe! haha! She does the same thing at the Doctor's office- I guess she isn't around other babies too often, so when she is she just stares at them and watches everyone!
Eric and I feel blessed to have such a happy and sweet little girl. Days will go by and I'll look at Eric and say "I can't remember the last time Grafton cried!" Then of course we are quickly reminded of the sound. :) She has gotten through most of the stage 1 foods and likes carrots and squash the most- even better than the fruits! She is still trying to crawl but hasn't mastered it yet- just up on all 4's and lunging back and forth. She learned to wave a couple weeks ago, so we love waving to her and watching her throw her hands up and wave! She just cracks us up! Her giggle is precious and her smile gets bigger each day it seems. Here are a few pictures from today!

Fun weekend

Grafton had a fun and busy weekend! She went to breakfast on the square, swimming at DeeDee's house all day Saturday, then a neighborhood picnic that night. We kept our cousin, Henry, Saturday night and Sunday night- he is 2 years old, and Grafton was mesmerized by him! She watched everything he did. Today was her 7 month birthday so of course we had to celebrate with a cake and ice cream, then we played, took a walk and played more with Henry the rest of the day. Here are a few pictures from the weekend-

Play Time!

Grafton LOVES play time! She has discovered her plastic blocks (all different shapes) and her plastic rings and can play for HOURS with them! Who would have thought that $5 rings from Wal-mart would be her favorite toy? It definitely makes the day easy for me- I can sit her in the pack n' play with her toys and she will bang on them for an hour easy. She just smiles at them, sucks on them, bangs with them, and throws them! Here are a few pictures of play time the other night-

Visiting Friends and Family

We have had a fun time visiting with friends and family the past couple of weeks- everyone is surprised to see how much Grafton has grown and changed! Here are a few pictures from the visits!

Visiting Bijou, Grafton's Great Grandmother, in Marks on Sunday!

Visiting with Catherine Martin and her daughter Kaiser in Nashville last week! Kaiser is 2 months younger than Grafton.

Eric's mom came to visit last weekend and Grafton enjoyed play-time with her!

Swimming at DeeDee's- always a fun time!
