Hello friends and family! Eric and I welcomed our little girl, Grafton, into the world on January 9, 2009 and our baby boy, James, on December 2, 2010! We have just been blessed with our precious baby girl, Price, who was born August 28, 2012. We feel incredibly blessed and humbled, and we thank our gracious Lord above for all of our amazing family and friends. We hope this blog can give you a glimpse into our lives and a taste of how precious our children are. God is so so good, and we praise His Holy name.

Sweetest little 3 month old

Price is just the sweetest little 3 month old that I could ever hope for. Yesterday was her 3 month birthday, and it really seems like yesterday that I was in the hospital having her! She is such a happy little girl- smiling so much and giggling at silly things.  She has started babbling a lot, and in the car I catch her making all sorts of noises as she looks up at Grafton beside her. In fact last night the funniest thing happened....Price began to babble and Grafton said "Awwww, my baby Price just said her first word...." haha!! I asked her what Price said and Grafton exclaimed "Price said 'what'....I guess I taught her how to say 'what'" Haha! Obviously Price didn't say "what" but I thought it was hilarious that Grafton thought she had taught Price her first word.  Too sweet.

Price is sleeping very well, usually averaging 7-8 hours a night now, then going back to sleep for another 3 or 4. She likes to sleep in late- typically around 8 or 9. She loves her bath and just today begain kicking and splashing then laughing as she got everything wet. She laughs at her bears on the mobile, loves to watch TV, and likes Mommy's voice.  She always holds her hands, likes to pull on her blanket or gown, and is very good at hitting the toys on her bouncy seat and play mat.  She is very easy going and doesn't fuss too much.  I absolutely adore this sweet baby and could squeeze her chunky body all day long. God has blessed us beyond measure!

Last grove day of the season

Yesterday was the last football game of the season in Oxford....the last Grove day that we will have this year. What a wonderful year it has been in the Grove! It is hard to believe that 3 months ago we were at our first game with a 4 day old baby!! Time has flown by, and we have made it to the Grove, all 5 of us, for each home game. The kids are going to miss their weekend celebrations, and I am going to miss getting to see so many sweet friends that come this way for a game here and there. We ended the season with a cold, crisp fall day and a big WIN against Mississippi State! Hotty Toddy! Until next year...

Clarksdale visit

We made an impromptu visit to Clarksdale a couple of days ago to visit GG and Pop, and more Aunts, Uncles, and cousins. The kids have SO MUCH fun playing with their cousins (Leyton, Thomas, Hunter, Isabella, and Sophia)- I can only imagine the trouble they will all be getting into in the years ahead! They played outside on the Gator and Golf cart, then came in for pizza and a movie before we headed home.  It's always a fun time visiting Clarksdale!

Thanksgiving 2012

As I sit here on this Thanksgiving afternoon, full of turkey and full of thanks, I am amazed by the blessings that surround us all. Family...friends...new babies....special memories....Godly moments....precious lifelong friends....new loves....laughter...tears....hard lessons....my husband....my church....our sweet town....pets.....Aunts.....DeeDee....brothers and sisters.....cousins....temper tantrums....big hugs....slumber parties.....and the list goes on.

We were blessed to spend this Thanksgiving with lots of family at Eric's cousin's restaurant, the Ravine. We had a big spread and tables of friends and family to enjoy it with.  DeeDee came, Uncle Scott, Carly and Zella, Eric's brother Jason and his family (who stayed with us!), Aunt Gay, cousin Joel and Cori's family and lots of Jack's family! The kids had a blast playing on the playground and with the trains upstairs, the all the adults relaxed around the cozy fireplace and loved each other's company.  It was the perfect day!

Last but not Least

That's right, Price is 12 weeks old today, meaning that this will be my last weekly birthday post. These 12 weeks have gone by so quickly. Price isn't that tiny newborn that she was just 84 days ago when she came into this world. She is sweet, smiley, giggly, curious and easy going.  She slept through the night for the first time a few days ago- making me a very happy mama!  She takes very good naps during the day, she drinks a lot of milk, she likes to laugh at the fan and mobile and Daddy's eyebrows (haha), and she really loves being hugged on by Grafton and James.  She is very much a Mommy's girl...she will fuss a little with other people and as soon as she gets close to Mommy she stops and is happy again.  I admit, I love it! It gets a little difficult because James is very much a mommy's boy, but I am sure we will figure out how to handle loving on all the kids at once!

In the next couple of weeks we will be celebrating Price's first Thanksgiving, her 3 month birthday, and her brother and sister's birthday party; and before we know it, we will be celebrating Price's first Christmas. Time isn't going to stand still no matter how hard I pray that it will, and I am okay with that. Each new stage is like a new chapter in this precious little girl's book of life, and I hope that I can help make each piece a little bit happier and brighter. And I hope that I can help create memories for us all that we can hold dear for years to come. Happy Birthday precious Price...you are one sweet little 12 week old angel!
