Little Grafton turned 5 months old on Tuesday, and I just cannot believe how quickly she is growing up. Her 2 bottom teeth are almost fully in, and if I didn't know better I would say she is working on a couple new ones. She is growing a lot right now- I would guess she weighs 15 pounds for sure- a good bit more than her little 6 pound, petite body when she was born! I have been holding off on starting her on solids, hoping to wait till she gets to be 6 months old, but she sure is getting interested in what mom and dad are eating and why she isn't getting any of it! She loves playing in her exersaucer and still loves her playmat. She likes anything that makes noises, lights up, and that she can "bang" on. I believe she may be the youngest child in history to already be ADD because she just will not sit still for very long at all. (definitely blame that one on her dad) She is constantly looking around, talking, rolling over, kicking, hitting, sucking, biting....you get the picture. I can tell I will have my hands full when she starts crawling and walking! By the end of the day I am totally worn out!
Of course, as usual, I must say that she still is just the light of our life! Yesterday, Eric was playing with her and she just looked up and gave him this enormous smile- it melted my heart! There is really nothing in this world like the smile a baby gives you when you know they really feel loved. We have learned more about God's love, patience, peace and grace in these past 5 months than we could have possibly imagined. We feel so blessed to have Grafton, our families, and such wonderful friends in our life.
