Hello friends and family! Eric and I welcomed our little girl, Grafton, into the world on January 9, 2009 and our baby boy, James, on December 2, 2010! We have just been blessed with our precious baby girl, Price, who was born August 28, 2012. We feel incredibly blessed and humbled, and we thank our gracious Lord above for all of our amazing family and friends. We hope this blog can give you a glimpse into our lives and a taste of how precious our children are. God is so so good, and we praise His Holy name.

What is Grafton doing now?

I guess I haven't had an update on all that Grafton does recently.  I just cannot believe she is 20 months old, and her birthday is just around the corner. So- an update on her:
  • Grafton knows all her ABCs, tries to write a few letters (w, y, a), and can count to 15.  She also knows some shapes and a few colors, although we are working on these more and more.
  • She has become a better eater- loves pasta and rice, corn, hot dogs, chicken, popsicles (or as she calls it "pop ice"), ice cream and chips.
  • She is very vocal.  She repeats EVERYTHING we say and comes out with a new word every day.
  • She loves to sing- she does the motions to "The Wheels on the Bus...", "Itsy bitsy spider," and "deep and wide".  She also sings the Barney song and Twinkle, Twinkle little star.
  • She is obsessed with coloring and likes to paint in the bathtub (with washable paint).  Bathtime is still a favorite activity!
  • She has learned how to catch a ball, so we play outside many nights with the ball (kicking it, throwing it and catching it) while we wait on Daddy to get home from work.
  • Our little girl constantly wants to see or play with airplanes, "copters," trains and tractors- yet every morning she asks to put on make up!
  • She loves Mickey Mouse, Handy Manny, Thomas the train, Clifford and Elmo.
  • She plays dress-up a lot and poses in the mirror for herself to see.  Her favorite thing to put on- a necklace and/or her cheerleading outfit.
  • She says "hotty toddy," "go rebels," and "Ole Miss" very well- so game days are a lot of fun!!
I could go on and on but this post would get too long!  Eric and I are just so proud of our little girl, and she continues to amaze us literally every day.  Lately, being an emotional pregnant lady, I have tried to really cherish every moment of the day that I am with Grafton.  In just 2 short months her whole world is going to change, and I wish so badly I could bottle up this time with her and someday show her how our world totally revolved around her. I want to always remember what our days were like as a family of 3- how every morning we cuddled and watched Mickey Mouse, how we waited outside each night for Daddy to get home then ran up and down the hill with him while we squeeled in delight, and how every night at bedtime we kissed Mommy goodnight, then reached for Daddy to say our prayers and have some cuddle time. These days have been so special, and I just know that God is blessing us even more with the upcoming arrival of James.  Grafton will be a great big sister and our life will be so full!
