James turns 6 months old today, and I cannot put into words how much I have enjoyed these past 6 months! James is just the sweetest little boy who loves to cuddle, loves to smile, and loves to play with his sister. It has been such a joy to watch Grafton grow into a sweet and loving big sister who "baby-sits" James for me when I have to run into another room and who teaches James how to play with toys and how to sit up and crawl! I love my family of 4 so much and feel blessed each and every day.
So what has happened this past month? James has started eating a little baby food! He loves carrots, will tolerate sweet potatos and bananas, and dislikes apples, prunes, and peaches! Oh oh...please don't be another picky eater for my family! James is trying so hard to sit on his own but can only do it for about 15 or 20 seconds before he crashes. He also scoots and rolls all over the place- I can barely keep track of him sometimes! He finally has slept through the night, although he typically wakes up after about 7 or 8 hours to eat. He loves his toes, loves his mommy, and loves his giraffe teether. He finally said "Mama" last week (his first word) and now says it a couple of times a day- particularly when I am not nearby so that I will come and play with him! He squeals a lot and talks a lot in the mornings, then just laughs at everything and especially his sister. The nursery workers at church love him- when we drop him off they say "Yay! James came today! We love him!" He is just such an easy baby that everyone loves to hold him! I thank God every day for sending me such a happy and good-natured little boy!
