Wow wow wow....is James REALLY already 7 months old?! What a whirlwind these months have been and what a fun fun time. This has been a huge month for James- he now has 5 teeth (his 6th one is cutting through now), he not only sat up this month but is now CRAWLING, he had his first surgery, he is finally eating more baby food, and he has really really found his voice! He also likes to play peek-a-boo with a towel or sheet or blanket. He holds up the blanket till we say "Where is James?!?!" then he pulls it down real quick and laughs and laughs while we yell "PEEK-A-BOO!" Haha- he could play this game for hours probably! "Mama" is still his only recognizable word, but these past couple of weeks he has really started squealing, squeaking, and flat out screaming more! He is happy as can be then lets out a shrill yell to get our attention- it is hilarious. What are James's favorite things?? Well he loves plastic balls- that is really what got him to crawl so early I think- he loves to chase them! Oddly enough he also likes Grafton's baby dolls!!! I first gave him one because he likes to pull hair so much- I figured he could pull the baby doll's hair instead of going after Grafton's! But now he sees a baby doll on the ground and will crawl to it then kiss her face over and over again! (which reminds me- he also likes to give open mouth kisses!!) And another fetish- SHOES! He loves to chew on shoes for some reason! He will even crawl over to Grafton while she is playing and latch onto her leg to get her shoes. I just crack up watching him! He loves Tucker and Maggie and laughs at them out the window, he plays with Grafton's dancing Mickey Mouse, and he chews on pretty much anything. He loves to eat puffs, baby foods- carrots and squash and bananas, and lick a popsicle. He is a huge cuddler, loves to sit on your hip while you go about your daily chores, and touch your face or play with your mouth. He crawls, rolls or scoots where ever he wants to go and is such a curious little dude.
James brightens up every moment of the day with his sweet big toothy smile, and his giggle melts my heart. Yesterday morning we were in the playroom and Grafton began laughing at something on Sesame Street. I watched as James began giggling at Grafton laughing. Then I began to laugh at the sight of both of them! What a sweet moment- me laughing while I watch my children, James giggling at the sight of his sister so happy, and Grafton oblivious that she was the center of our attention. Grafton is the apple of James' eye, and I love to watch his adoration for her grow and grow. What a special relationship they will have, and how lucky am I to get to witness such a beautiful thing. My cup runneth over.
