Eric loves to go to the Grizzlies' basketball games, but he hasn't been able to make it to one this season yet. He got tickets for a game last week and was sooooo excited to take Grafton to her first NBA game, and she was so excited that she talked about it all week. So last Thursday was the big date night for Daddy and Daughter, and off they went to the game. Grafton got to pick out a new basketball to bring home, she got a hotdog to eat, and Daddy pretty much spoiled her rotten......UNTIL the game was about to start. As they announced the players, fireworks started going off, fire was shot into the "sky," the music was loud and the announcer was a tad freaky.....all causing Grafton to get scared! She begged Eric to take her home! Eric calmed her down for a bit and they were able to watch 5 minutes of the game, then Grafton said she was ready to go on home...so off they went.
Luckily there was a Redbirds baseball game that night too, and Eric and Grafton ended up going there and watching some of the baseball game! Grafton loves baseball so she had a blast. They had a fun kid's zone and more junk food for Grafton to eat! I was happy that they were able to salvage the night, but I feel so bad for Eric missing out on his only Grizzlies game this year!! Oh well, he wouldn't have passed up time with his daughter for anything!
