Eric and I took the kids to the baseball game this past Sunday, and it was probably their favorite game ever! Not because it was a gorgeous day, or that Ole Miss won the game, or that they got to play on the playground in the outfield, but because they got to run the bases at the end of the game and they got their very own game ball! On Sundays, at the end of the game, the children are allowed on the field to run around the bases. We have never done it before so decided it was the perfect day to let the kids out there! They had a BLAST!!! Plus there are lots of players standing around talking and signing autographs and shaking hands with the kids. Before we left Grafton said she wanted to meet a real baseball player, so she marched right up to one and smiled her sweet smile and talked to him. I wasn't sure what she said, but he laughed and smiled and said "I can take care of that! Stay right here!" I asked Grafton what in the world she said to him and she said "Oh I just asked him if I could have a baseball!!" The sweet guy brought back two game balls for the kids and absolutely made their YEAR I think!! I'm thankful for the fun day and the sweet baseball player that made quite an impression on this family!
