Easter Easter Easter!

Easter is one of my absolute favorite holidays! We celebrate a RISEN Savior!!! What could be more exciting than that?! I woke up Saturday morning, the day before Easter, to the sound of Grafton in her bed shouting "Jesus is ALIVE! Jesus is ALIVE!" over and over again- it was music to my ears. She gets it. Grafton gets it. She understands the importance of this day and oh what an amazing blessing that is!

Of course I love all the worldly celebrations of Easter as well- the Easter baskets that I always overdo, the 15 egg hunts I plan all week, the beautiful clothes to wear to church, the brunch we have at our house after church, and fun afternoon we plan. I love our traditions- money inside the Easter eggs, family pictures, church, and a family lunch. But most of all I am amazed year after year after year at what an amazing gift Jesus gave us. He died on the cross for us...he loved us before we even knew him...he endured such suffering and pain and embarrassment and grief- all to save US! My mind cannot even grasp the enormity of that. I am so thankful for the Easter story. To God be all the glory!

 After lunch and naps, we got out our swimsuits and played in the sprinkler!

 Then we had a swimsuit Easter egg hunt!!! Thank you DeeDee for the new swimsuits!
