Oh my goodness....Disney World is my new favorite place! We went a few weeks ago and had the time of our lives! From the airplane ride, to the buses and boats and trains, to the princesses and characters, to all the fun rides- it was truly amazing and I would do it all over again in a heart beat! The kids LOVED riding in an airplane for the first time and did so well. It made me feel good to actually get compliments from strangers after the flight saying that they kids were so well behaved! We took a late flight, so by the time we got to Orlando and took the bus to the resort, it was 11:00!!
Our first day at the park was spent at Hollywood Studios. It was a Sunday, so not very crowded at all, and we got there shortly after the park opened so we had our pick of characters to meet. It was p-e-r-f-e-c-t! Scott and Eric headed straight for Tower of Terror while DeeDee and I took the kids to meet Daisy Duck, Minnie Mouse, Princess Sophia, and Jake. Then we met back up and rode Toy Story Mania which was definitely a favorite! For lunch we had reservations at Hollywood and Vine, which was a character meal with the Disney Jr characters. The kids LOVED it and the food was really good! Price danced with Jake, and James and Grafton paraded around the restaurant. It was the best character meal all week. After riding more rides, watching a Frozen sing along, and meeting more characters, we headed back to the resort. We took a boat to Downtown Disney and ate at T-Rex....which was fun and yummy. We were all exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel that night!
Monday morning we went to the Princess breakfast (Cinderella's Royal Table) and the kids were on cloud nine meeting all of the pretty princesses! It was a cute time for them and James got his first big kiss on his cheek from Snow White! He loved it! After breakfast we headed to Magic Kingdom. We were able to ride so many rides in the morning when the crowds were smaller, and we used our fast passes and were able to get more. We ate a late lunch, watched the afternoon parade, then hit up more rides! I was amazed that we rode every ride they wanted to ride in one day! All we had left was Thunder Mountain, but we had a fastpass for that on Tuesday. We stayed for the Wishes night show and fireworks- it was awesome! Another late night, but so so so much fun!
Tuesday we headed back to Magic Kingdom and rode even more rides. It was nice that we had already done so much, because we were able to be relaxed and walk around looking at more stuff. We ate lunch at Be Our Guest, the Beasts castle, which was delicious. I think Price rode the flying dumbo 10 times, James loved the Barnstormer, and Grafton loved Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain! We headed to Downtown Disney later that night for dinner and shopping.
Wednesday was our last day....so sad. We started the morning with a character breakfast at Cape May- at the Beach Club Resort. The location was perfect because we could walk to Epcot after! We ate with Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck- it was lots of fun! Then on our walk to Epcot, the kids played on the beach for a little while. Epcot was a lot of fun- we rode rides, looked at the aquariums, pretended to be in a space ship, then headed to the countries. Grafton was determined to do the clam opening in Japan, so I let her and James do that...and they now have a sweet little pearl as a treasure. The kids got to meet Sleeping Beauty (Princess Aurora) and James was IN LOVE! He saw her walking down the sidewalk and went running to her! She stopped, knelt down, and gave him a huge hug....it made his day. Then when he met her, she gave him a giant kiss on the cheek.....needless to say, he is planning on marrying Princess Aurora now! We ate lunch and dinner at the same bakery in France that had delicious pastries and sandwiches. We visited all of the countries and had a blast. It was a wonderful last day.
TONS of pictures are shown below...it was an amazing vacation and exceeded all of my expectations! I cannot wait to go back!!!!
