Christmas break!

When the kids got out of school for Christmas, Eric also got off work for TWO weeks!!! How amazing is that?! I can't imagine a more fun time than having your entire family at home together for 16 days! We filled our time with day trips to Memphis, visits with family, bowling in Oxford, movies, a trip to Burkes, a hockey game, and fun days with friends. It was so busy but so fun! I wouldn't have traded this time for anything! Oh how thankful I am that God knew exactly what we needed- some great family time!

Christmas in Clarksdale the weekend before Christmas

 Memphis Children's Museum

 The Peabody!! This will be our new Christmas tradition! We met Eric's sister Paige and her family at the Peabody to see the tree, the gingerbread houses, and the ducks. The kids loved it all! After spending a few hours there, we headed out for pizza and Starry Nights. It was such a fun night.

 Starry nights! At the end of the lights, there is a petting zoo with camel rides. The kids had a blast!

 The week before Christmas we let the kids randomly open a couple of presents. This day, they were opening their presents that James picked out for his sisters.

 A day of bowling- everyone had a good time. Then they played in the arcade which they probably liked even better!

 After Christmas, we met Eric's sister Paige and her family at the River House for some fun while also preparing for the possible flood headed down the Mississippi River. We brought some friends with us too- everyone had a great time!

 We spent New Year's Eve at a party at Shawn's house (Mike's son)- making s'mores, watching football by the fire pits outside, and making new friends. It was such a great night...it felt like one big ole family! What a perfect way to end the year!
