Red Polka Dot shoes and 'Hide and Seek'

Grafton has a pair of red polka dot shoes and a pair of pink polka dot shoes that she has had since August.  She has always loved these shoes, but all of a sudden she is obsessed with the red ones.  She wakes up in the morning and wants to put on her red polka dot shoes immediately.  Yesterday DeeDee got her dressed in a cute pink outfit and Grafton ran to her shoes and picked out the red ones....and therefore we quickly had to change her clothes so she could wear the shoes of her choice!  This morning she wore her red shoes with her pajamas and I had to find yet another outfit that would match these red shoes.  It cracks me up how opinionated she has gotten about what she wears- a dress or pants, the color, which shoes, and which hair bow! 

Below are some pictures of Grafton from yesterday, wearing her red shoes and playing in the backyard.  Her new favorite game is Hide and Seek, although her hiding places include standing next to the fence (out in the open!) and standing by the slide. When I go to look for her she will say say "where is she?!" over and over again!  My favorite Hide and Seek story happened earlier this week- she was hiding in the nursery and as I would try to find her she would help me out!  It went like this:
Me: Wheeeeere is Grafton? Is she in the bathroom? (as I open the bathroom door)
G: Nooooooooooo........in Nursery! (as she hides in the nursery)
Me:  Is she in the hallway? (pretending I didn't hear her)
G: Nooooooooo....in Nursery Mommy!!!!
Me:  (walking into the nursery) Grafton? Are you in the nursery?
G: FOUND ME!!!!!!!
While she may not totally understand the game, she sure does have a lot of fun playing it!
