We had a wonderful weekend visiting Pop and GG in Clarksdale and playing with cousin Leyton, Cousin Hunter, Aunt Madelyn and Uncle Thornton. The kids both love going to Clarksdale and spending the night. James is pretty much attached to Pop's hip the whole time, and Grafton has a blast playing with her cousin Leyton. The kids and I met Madelyn and her kids and Gwen at the pool when we got into town on Friday afternoon. Grafton and Leyton were very excited to see each other and played together well all afternoon. GG was a huge help to me by playing with James in the pool a lot and trying to keep up with that active boy! I still think he is the happiest little clown I have ever seen! After pool time we got ready for dinner and had a nice, casual meal with us all. The kids think it is the most fun thing that we can ride to the country club in the golf cart and they take turns "driving" each way. It was a fun night and we were all exhausted by bedtime!
As we all know, Grafton is just slightly obsessed with airplanes...so she LOVES going to the Clarksdale airport and seeing Pop's plane. This time, Pop drove the kids around the runway in the plane, and they thought that was pretty cool! Next time, he said he would take them up for a little flight! Grafton had a blast looking at all the airplanes, and James thought he was such a big boy out there. It was a great day spending time with family, playing with Pop and GG's toys, seeing the site for their new cabin at the hunting camp, and being silly as usual. On our way back home, Grafton was already asking me when we can go back and spend the night again!
