Hello friends and family! Eric and I welcomed our little girl, Grafton, into the world on January 9, 2009 and our baby boy, James, on December 2, 2010! We have just been blessed with our precious baby girl, Price, who was born August 28, 2012. We feel incredibly blessed and humbled, and we thank our gracious Lord above for all of our amazing family and friends. We hope this blog can give you a glimpse into our lives and a taste of how precious our children are. God is so so good, and we praise His Holy name.

Preschool Graduation

If I get choked up talking about 4 year old preschool graduation, what on earth am I going to be like when my children graduate from High School or College?!?! Today was Grafton's graduation from preschool at First Baptist. She has gone to this sweet school for 3 years now, and I can literally remember the moment I dropped her off for the first time. I remember the tears she cried as I left her in her new room, and I remember the tears I shed as I drove away feeling guilty and helpless for leaving my one year old behind. Of course she ended up LOVING school that year, and I loved watching her make friends that will last for many years to come. She has loved EVERY year at this sweet school- she loves her friends, she loves the songs they sing and lessons they learn, and she loves the wonderful teachers that she has had. And how cool- her teacher from her first year was her same teacher this year- so she has seen Grafton grow up from a baby to a precious young girl.

And this year it has been such a blessing having Grafton and James at the same school. Grafton told me that one of her favorite things about school is getting to walk in with James, hold his hand all the way down to his room, then drop him off with his teachers. She said that she hugs him and says "Bye bye" then heads to her own room. I know James will have a hard time not being with her next year, and he will miss getting to hold her hand as they walk in together. I'm already praying for a smooth transition for him and that he will be a great leader for Price like Grafton has been for him.

I know it will be hard for me to take Grafton to her "big girl" school next year, but I also know that she has so much confidence and knowledge and joy in heart from the past few years that she will take with her each day.  I am thankful that the Lord blessed us with this perfect year at First Baptist, and I am looking forward to seeing what He has planned for us next!
