James is our perfect mix of silly and sweet. He is funny, laughs all the time, and is constantly doing things to make US laugh. I call him the "class clown" because he is just so silly- whether he is making goofy faces, talking in different voices, playing pretend and make-believe, or playing a joke on us- he always keeps us laughing. And when we aren't laughing, our heart is usually melting over the precious things he says. This boy knows the power in those three little words...so he says them ALL THE TIME!! "I love you, Mommy" as we are driving down the road to school...."I love you, Mommy" as we are walking through Walmart...."I love you, Mommy" as we are eating lunch....and "I love you, Mommy" as we are getting dressed for bed- I promise I am not exaggerating when I say that he says these words a minimum of 20 times a day, and it NEVER gets old. And I hope it never ends. He is just so sweet, and his heart is so pure. I love his big hugs, his precious kisses, the way he plays with his baby sister, the way he looks up to Grafton, his big dimples, his little hands, his love for animals, his endless energy, that he wears his boots every day, that he loves BBQ and BBQ sauce like his Daddy, how excited he gets when he sees Christmas lights, how he likes to wear matching clothes with his sisters, that he is Pop's little shadow, that he cuddles with me or Daddy every night and takes naps with me every single afternoon, and I love that he has a genuine love for life. I hope and pray that his sweet heart never changes.
James is our boy, our middle child, our little ball of energy. We love him beyond words and thank our amazing Father for blessing us with him as our son. Happy Birthday, sweet Jamesy Boy...I hope this year brings you so much joy!!
Sweet James with his birthday presents! We celebrated a day early so that Daddy could be there!
He picked out his own cake
Grafton enjoyed the icing...
And we all know that Price doesn't ever turn down cake...
Sweet boy at bedtime...his last few hours before turning THREE!!!
James's birthday breakfast!!! Donuts with candles before school! This was his face as we sang him "Happy Birthday" - he was so so excited!!
How old are you?!?!?! THREE!
Mommy! I'm THREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
James took cupcakes to school, and his precious teachers made him this hat to wear. They sent me this picture of him as their class all sang Happy Birthday and celebrated our precious boy.
We had a birthday lunch with DeeDee at Chick-fil-a
Then came home and opened presents from Great Aunt B.J. and from DeeDee
James LOVES his fireman and policeman costume...and Grafton is a fan too!!
Then on his birthday night, James got to go to a Christmas parade!! What a fun way to end the day! We LOVE the Christmas parade downtown...it lasts about 45 minutes and is filled with marching bands, decorated floats, lots of candy, and lots of sweet friends and family to be with. The kids love it, and it ended James's birthday on a perfect note!
