Summer Beach trip!

We went to the beach at the end of June and had so much fun! The first few days we were there, we celebrated Skip's birthday with some of Eric's family (Jason and his family, Paige and her family, and Skip and Gwen), then DeeDee and Uncle Scott came to spend the week with us. It was very relaxing, the weather was nice, and we had some good family time. Grafton loved the beach- she would stay out there all day if she could. She searched for sea shells, jumped the waves, and built sandcastles. James liked the beach and enjoyed looking for shells, but he usually wanted to be at the pool most of the time. He likes Frisbee games and throwing balls on the beach too. Price did NOT want to be touching the sand AT ALL! She was fine sitting in her chair on the beach, and she loved being carried into the ocean, but there was no way anyone was going to sit her down in the sand and she certainly wasn't going to walk in it! She loved swimming in the pool and made lots of new friends.  The kids hunted for crabs for the first time this trip, and Grafton discovered that she loves eating calamari! Lots of fun memories were made again this trip, and we can't wait to go back!

 Sweet P tried her hardest to skip naps and keep up with the big kids, but sometimes it all just caught up to her! Her big brother and big sister thought it was so cute that she fell asleep watching TV with them on the couch...and of course they couldn't leave the sleeping baby alone!

 Uncle Scott and Daddy were so sweet to constantly throw the kids back and forth in the pool! The kids love it and had so much fun having them both there.

 DeeDee watched the kids so that we could have our first ever date night at the beach!

 One afternoon, James turned on "How Great Thou Art" on the iPad and asked "Mommy? Will you please dance with me?" Yes, sweet boy! I will ALWAYS dance with you!!! It melted my heart, brought a tear to my eye, and made me pray once again that this loving child never ever changes.
