Hello friends and family! Eric and I welcomed our little girl, Grafton, into the world on January 9, 2009 and our baby boy, James, on December 2, 2010! We have just been blessed with our precious baby girl, Price, who was born August 28, 2012. We feel incredibly blessed and humbled, and we thank our gracious Lord above for all of our amazing family and friends. We hope this blog can give you a glimpse into our lives and a taste of how precious our children are. God is so so good, and we praise His Holy name.

Happy Birthday, Price!

happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Pricey, happy birthday to you!!

Precious Price turned 1 year old today. At 2:50 this afternoon, I quietly prayed to God, thanking him for this precious blessing that was born exactly one year ago and who has brought so much joy, laughter, and love to our family.  Someone asked me recently what the most amazing day of my life thus far has been. My answer? The day Price was born. Because the day that God blessed us with this child, was a day filled with so much excitement, so much peace, and so much pure love. What made it so special was having my little family right there beside me through it all. I remember the moment I first laid eyes on Price...the immediate love I felt for her was overwhelming. I remember Eric beside me...seeing the tears in his eyes as he witnessed one of God's miracles yet again. I remember Grafton holding Price when she was just minutes old....her excitement and joy was seen all over her body as she carefully hugged her baby sister.  And I remember James watching baby Price...he fell in love with her the second he saw her and his adoration for her has not changed. I remember DeeDee lovingly singing to her as she danced her around the room; Pop and GG were there to celebrate the arrival of their eleventh grandchild; and Scott was there to sit with me for hours and hours in the hospital as Eric gave the older kids some attention. The day was filled with kisses, hugs, cuddles, well wishes, presents, family, friends, text messages, emails, pictures, tears, laughter, and peace. There was so much excitement yet a tremendous sense of peace and calmness.  It was perfect. We were all finally together as our little "party of five." (Disclaimer-- Obviously my wedding day, the birth of Grafton, and the birth of James are all up there as amazing days in my life, but the birth of Price is so special because we were ALL there for it. Grafton and James were there to welcome baby Price into the world, so that made the day even more wonderful. What a blessing it was!)

Life with Price has been amazing, and there is nothing I would change about it. She is such a perfect mix between Grafton and James, between sweet and silly, between laid back and sassy. She is the perfect 3rd child for me. Now not everything has been ideal- she didn't sleep through the night consistently till she was 10 months old, and she had that yucky clogged tear duct for nearly 9 months- but she has been ideal for us. I love that she sleeps so well now. I love that she has a MAJOR sweet tooth. I love that she plays so well by herself AND with other kids. I love that she is a big big water baby. I love that she cuddles and climbs in my lap. I love that she adores her Daddy. I love her open mouth kisses and big squeeze-hugs! I love her "growl" and her squeaky laugh. And I love her big front teeth. And her tan chubby body. And the color of her eyes....brown, with blue, with green, with gray. I just love HER.

So here are some pictures of precious Price...first from a little photo shoot I did of her a few days ago and also from today....
